• Description: Most notable in terms of structural design on this project was the use of vibrocompaction. Treatment of existing subsoil through vibrocompaction allowed the use of standard wide strip reinforced foundations with a ground bearing slab . consideration at design stage was also given to the use of a piled foundation but the adopted option provided a more economical solution resulting in considerable savings to the client.
